Our Wee Granny
Today has started without you,
Tomorrow will too.
All we have is the memories,
of the life we shared with you.
A million tears have fallen,
A thousand tales to share.
Of the granny we loved so much
who has been taken from from our care
We will always remember you laughing
Never did we see you cry
And if ever I need to talk to you
I will look to the stars in the sky.
An emptyness surrounds our hearts
An angel was taken today
the world seems so much darker now
Our Wee Granny has gone away

We will miss you so
now the time has come
And we have to let you go

Today you went to heaven

The   lord is with you always

Your family were so loyal

And that is down to you

The way you loved and cared for them

They have so much love it's true

 

The pain you had from day to day

Was to much to endure

For the lord was waiting patiently

Nellie Gardner Known as Ellen Gardner. Peacefully at home, on 16th February, 2008, Ellen, Loving wife of the late Joseph, Much loved ma and wee granny to all her family and a dear sister to Margaret. Fortified by rites of Holy Church R.I.P. Reception and vigil at St Margaret Mary's R.C. Church, Castlemilk, on Thursday, 21st February at 6pm. Funeral Mass on Friday, 22nd February at 10am. Committal Service thereafter at Linn Crematorium, Lainshaw Drive, arriving at 11am.
 
 

 

Granny I just wanted say this

To get this off my mind

I want the world to know how great you were         

How loving and so kind

Of all the times you spent writing letters

And sending me wee gifts

The times that I had with you

Were more than any gift

The memories you gave me are all I have to hold

For since you have had to leave me

I have felt so all alone

But now that you’re in a better place

All of the people that love you

Miss the hugs and kiss

And your sweet face

Although you are gone

I know that you are still with me

Because you live through the stories

That my mom and aunts have left me

Happy birthday my dear granny

You are and forever will be in my memories
